What are the biggest prejudices hampering UK job seekers?
Equality, diversity and inclusion continue to be a hot topics in recruitment. Perhaps surprisingly, it’s not actually a legal requirement to have a ED&I policy, and various studies and surveys suggest many organisations are falling short.
Back in 2022, we produced the original Stop The Bias Report exploring the biases that people perceive they face when applying for new roles.
Last year, we recommissioned the study. Not only have we re-run the candidate research to see how things have changed, we’ve taken it one step further; analysing data from over 2 million applications and nearly 70,000 hires, in what we think is the biggest analysis of real job application data from multiple organisations and industries, to get under the skin of what is really going on.
In this latest, updated report, we’ve crunched the numbers, challenged the data and explored areas such as age, gender and diversity to investigate the biggest candidate concerns, and share insights around what you can do to help finally stop the bias.
