Finding a suitable and rewarding job can be difficult for disabled candidates. Likewise it can be a challenge for employers seeking to fill roles with disabled job seekers. That’s why Jane Hatton created Evenbreak in 2011.

Since then, Evenbreak has been on a mission to help employers gain all the business benefits of employing a more diverse range of people. Evenbreak is an award-winning social enterprise run by and for disabled people. Its specialist job board is used by many thousands of talented disabled candidates, who are confident to apply to the employers who advertise there. Employers like Channel 4, Unilever, Lloyds Banking Group, John Lewis and many more.

Evenbreak for employers

Appealing to a wider candidate base helps employers fill those skills gaps. Disabled employees, on average, are just as productive as their non-disabled colleagues, have significantly less time off sick, fewer workplace accidents and stay in their jobs longer. They also bring skills they have developed to overcome the barriers they face every day – valuable skills like creativity, problem-solving and determination. And, of course, they offer vital internal intelligence into the disabled marketplace (disabled people and their families spend over £250 billion a year).

With Evenbreak, employers can attract this amazing pool of talent quickly, easily and cost-effectively. The job board integrates with an employer’s ATS so posting is automatic and tracking easy. Regular management information reporting is also available. With unlimited advertising employers will have their logo on the home page, immediately positioning them as an inclusive employer of choice.

Evenbreak for candidates

Disabled candidates love Evenbreak. It’s the most accessible job board possible, it offers online advice, it gives them access to the most inclusive employers and offers additional features such as job alerts. Candidates say that they have the confidence to apply to vacancies from employers who choose to advertise on a specialist disability job board.

Evenbreak powered by Tribepad

Jane needed to update the Evenbreak job board to add features, improve usability on mobile devices and deliver a fresh new look. Working with Tribepad a new structure and design was created with new self-serve features for candidates and employers. Usability has been improved, while maintaining the critically important AAA accessibility requirements.

Evenbreak publishes more than 2,000 jobs and attracts more than 40,000 visits each month. Tribepad applicant tracking system clients can post jobs automatically to Evenbreak.
