Roaring with pride: Tribepad supports Sheffield Children’s Hospital’s Pride of Yorkshire campaign

Tags: PR and News

We’ve always been very vocal (us, vocal? Who would have thought…) that business should be a force for good. And we consistently put our money where our mouth is. But our most recent campaign is even more exciting than normal…seeing us stand alongside Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity as part of their Pride of Yorkshire campaign.

Our whole team is so, so proud to be involved with this celebration, marking the charity’s 150th birthday and its long-standing impact on families across our region. And yes… we’ve officially adopted our very own lioness. 🦁

Tribepad and SCHC Lion and Lioness

This is a partnership powered by heart, community, and a whole lot of spirit. So… very Tribepad. Supporting Sheffield Children’s isn’t new for us – we’ve proudly sponsored a Snowflake for years, bringing a little festive sparkle to children and families visiting or staying in the hospital over the Christmas period. But this year, we’re doubling down.

Why Pride of Yorkshire matters

The Pride of Yorkshire trail will see 150 life-sized lions and lionesses and 150 cubs take to the streets of Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster in Summer 2026, each uniquely designed by brilliant artists, schools, and community groups. It’s a bold, ambitious celebration aimed at bringing families together, and helping Sheffield Children’s Hospital raise £2.8 million to fund lifesaving research, world-class equipment, and vital therapeutic activities.

Why Tribepad is getting involved

Yes, sponsoring a lioness puts us on the map. And yes, it’ll make a gorgeous, colourful addition to the streets of Yorkshire next summer. But our involvement is about much more than brand visibility.

It’s about giving back to a charity that has been changing lives for 150 years, and supporting a cause that deeply resonates with our team, our company values, and our roots as a Sheffield-born business.

For us, the lion couldn’t be a more meaningful symbol: brave, collaborative, and proud, qualities that run deep in both Sheffield Children’s and Tribepad’s culture.

Our lioness will sit proudly among the trail of sculptures until the big farewell event and charity auction.

But our support doesn’t stop at sponsorship. We’re also rolling up our sleeves and getting active, literally, with a series of fundraising challenges across 2025 and 2026, to support the charity as much as we can.

Fundraising with heart (and muddy shoes)

Our goal is simple: raise as much as we can for the hospital, in as many ways as we can. The Tribepad team, family and friends have already jumped at the chance to get involved, and we’ve lined up a whole pride’s worth of activities to raise as much as possible for the charity.

There’s no fixed fundraising target, because honestly, we don’t want to limit ourselves to a number on a page. Here’s what the team has in store (so far!):

  • Theo’s Mud Run: An annual favourite organised by the hospital,. Messy, energetic, and guaranteed to bring out our inner child (plus several loads of washing).
  • Festive Raffle (in collaboration with The HR Ninjas): Prizes, Christmas cheer, and a whole lot of generosity raising £461.
  • Theo’s Dragon Boat Race: Another annual classic, seeing teams take to the water for friendly competition, questionable rowing technique, and plenty of laughter.
  • Sheffield 10k: We’re lacing up our trainers and hitting the streets, running in solidarity with the children and families who rely on Sheffield Children’s every day.

And this is just the beginning. As the Pride of Yorkshire campaign builds momentum, so will we. Watch this space…

A community celebration with a big-hearted purpose

At the end of the lion and lionesses art trail, families, artists, sponsors, and supporters will come together for a farewell celebration, where each lion will be auctioned to raise even more money for the charity’s mission.

Our lioness will move on to her next chapter, but the impact she helps create will stay right here in our region’s hospitals, communities, and families.

This is about pride. It’s about purpose. And it’s about standing together to make a difference.
