At the back end of last year, something huge happened at Tribepad. Something that means the world to us, as a team and as a business: we officially became a certified B Corp. And yep… we’re still buzzing.
Not because we love badges (although we do love a shiny moment). But because this accreditation is evidence that we’re doing what we set out to – good business. Business that makes a tangible difference to people’s lives. Business that acts in the interests of heart, fairness, and purpose, not blind profit.
Becoming a B Corp isn’t a quick win or a marketing exercise. It’s a commitment. A challenge. And a mirror. One we’re incredibly proud to hold up.
So… what is B Corp and why does it matter?
B Corp certification is awarded by B Lab, the global non-profit that measures businesses against rigorous standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability. It’s not a tick-box process. You don’t buy it. You earn it.
To qualify, companies need to score at least 80 points on the B Impact Assessment. The average score for non-accredited companies? 50.9.
Tribepad’s score? 90.6. 🎉
That’s something worth shouting from the rooftops. But the truth is, that number reflects years of intentional choices; quiet, consistent and sometimes tough work of building a company that prioritises people and the planet.And that’s the work we’re most proud of. Becoming B Corp certified is a badge of honour but what matters to us most is the people we are when nobody’s looking. The people we’ve been for years.

Becoming a B Corp didn’t change who we are. It recognised who we’ve always been. Fairness has been in our DNA since Tribepad was founded in 2008, long before bias in recruitment was headline news. And long before AI was on the radar, with all the ethical concerns that raises.
