We’re delighted to announce that Tribepad is now a company member of Sheffield Digital. Earlier this month, we gained ‘Made in Sheffield’ accreditation, which recognised the fact that our innovative recruitment software is 100% produced in the city. By joining Sheffield Digital, we’re showing our support for the city’s digital sector and helping put something back into its digital community.
What is Sheffield Digital?
Established in 2013, Sheffield Digital is the association for the people and businesses of Sheffield’s digital sector. It aims to “help develop the best possible environment for setting up, working in and growing digital businesses in Sheffield and the surrounding region.”
What does that mean in practice?
Well, Sheffield Digital does three things: connect, promote, and represent. It connects by running events for the digital community that help bring people together to do good stuff. It promotes by shouting about the city’s success stories through their website, Slack community, podcast, newsletter and social media. The third thing it does – the representing – is perhaps less visible.
Working behind the scenes
Since its inception, Sheffield Digital’s directors have been busy behind the scenes. They provide a powerful, coherent voice for the digital community by engaging with the city’s policy makers on issues including education, skills and talent.
In fact, just last week, Sheffield Digital produced Sheffield’s First Digital Conference alongside Sheffield City Council. The conference is the first step in building a ‘digital coalition’ that sees people across the city working together to push things in the right direction.
We think this work is really valuable. As a digital company in Sheffield, it’s exactly the kind of work that we want to support at Tribepad.
Supporting Sheffield’s digital sector
Here at Tribepad, we know that a thriving digital sector is vital for Sheffield. It’s why we’ve invested time, energy and money to innovate, develop and build our products. Sheffield is where we call home.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Sheffield Digital relies on income from members, both companies and individuals. By becoming a company member of Sheffield Digital, we are actively supporting the organisation’s work. It’s a way for Tribepad to help push the city’s digital sector forward. It’s also us investing in, contributing to and being part of Sheffield’s digital community.
