We’ve been looking to the future recently here at Tribepad. That’s why it’s with huge excitement that we announce the appointment of our new COO Tom Webb.
Tom’s got a wealth of experience across a number of industries. He originally trained at KPMG but has worked in logistics, telecoms and most recently as COO in a communications business that used its in-house developed software to connect major brands with their customers. He’s joined to help us scale Tribepad and take us to new levels. We’ve got lots of projects and new products in development. Along with Tribepad Ventures, so the next few months are looking busy.
This means that Dan Kirkland will be moving into the role of CTO and CIO allowing him to focus on our strategic plan in more detail.
We caught up with our new COO Tom Webb to learn some more about him and his new role.
Tell us a little more about your role and your aims for the next 12 months.
As COO I’ll be taking the best of Tribepad, that is the entrepreneurial spirit, the “can do” attitude, and looking forward to how we can scale the business as we enter the next phase of growth. Being scalable means remaining flexible to customer needs, even as we develop new products and grow into new markets and also provide exciting careers for everyone within the business.
What made you join Tribepad?
The people, their ambition and the opportunity. Tribepad has brought together a group of talented people who want to see the company grow in an ethical way. The product itself is market leading and the combination of the two was an opportunity impossible to resist.
Tell us about yourself, what do you get up to outside of work?
Usually you’d find me on weekends driving to and standing next to sports pitches supporting my two girls or the hockey team I coach. But at the moment, without organised sport, you’re more likely to find me out running in the countryside around Leeds.
We’re thrilled to have Tom join us and can’t wait to see what the next few months hold.
